this blog is essentially an online diary of my little creative projects - if you can't fix it, throw some glitter over it and add a lacy edge and everything will be alright.

dress 3 of 7: dalek dress
torcher parade tomorrow night and we're doing a dr who theme so a philosoc friend and i are at the sewing machine and glue-gunning dresses into awesomeness!
we added a strip of black fabric to the bottom, a hoola hoop to that, and painted ball-pit-balls all over : )
although i should warn that sewing and using a glue gun when in a rush is deadly on the fingers!
Hey, nice to meet you! I found your blog via a Dalek-dress search!! Your dalek dress is brilliant! How did you add the hoop and black material? I am trying to make one this week but ended up with the wrong coloured baubles! Did you cut the ball-pit balls in half?
well, i had to sew the hoops into the hem of the skirt by hand (just fold around the hoop and stitch) and i chopped the balls in half, painted them with glossy black paint and glued them on with a glue gun. hope that's useful- good luck!!!
